The Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) is the trade association and representative voice of Britain's civil nuclear industry. It represents more than 270 companies and some 59,000 UK nuclear workers. Preparing SMEs to enter the nuclear supply chain

With support from the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA), the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (N-AMRC), and many of the key players in the nuclear industry, MAS have put together a knowledge transfer set of workshops to assist SMEs in winning business in the nuclear renaissance.

The purpose of this event is to build on the introductory information that was provided at the nuclear conference in September 2010 and is in response to the feedback received at the conference - the majority of businesses requested more in-depth information to prepare them for entry into the nuclear supply chain.

The event will consist of workshops on the following topics:

  • Decommissioning and Waste Management requirements
  • Contracting and tendering
  • Quality Codes and Standards
  • Nuclear development and business capability

Delegate fees 

This event is free of charge for small and medium size manufacturers based in the UK (fewer than 250 employees, an annual turnover of less than 50m Euros and not part of a larger group). Delegate fees for large manufacturers are £195 plus VAT and for non manufacturers £295 plus VAT.

TO ENSURE THAT AS MANY MANUFACTURERS AS POSSIBLE BENEFIT FROM THIS EVENT MAS WILL ONLY ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR A MAXIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE PER COMPANY.
