The Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) is the trade association and representative voice of Britain's civil nuclear industry. It represents more than 270 companies and some 59,000 UK nuclear workers. The NIA supports the commercial interests of its member as part of a diverse energy mix for the UK including renewables, clean coal and gas, with nuclear at the heart of a low-carbon future.

Further Government Initiatives Welcomed by Industry to Boost Supply Chain

Business Secretary Lord Mandelson has announced a package of measures to strengthen the UK’s civil nuclear supply chain.  At the centre is an offer of a £80 million loan to propel a successful UK manufacturer to the forefront of world markets and a clear willingness to invest further.  Click here to read more about the announcement. 

Also announced was co-funding the delivery of up to 1000 apprentices per year in the nuclear energy sector.
