On 1 December NIA will be holding its eleventh flagship Energy Choices conference in the heart of Westminster, bringing together politicians, civil servants and key opinion formers in an open forum with senior managers from the nuclear and other energy industries.
The past year has seen significant progress on the road to new nuclear build, as EDF Energy, Horizon Nuclear Power and NuGeneration Ltd move forward with plans to develop up to 16 GW of new low-carbon nuclear generation in Britain. The current state of energy policy has never been more important.
Energy Choices: 2011 will focus on the issues affecting development of nuclear power in the UK. Electricity Market Reform, National Policy Statements and the Generic Design Assessments will all be discussed in detail, along with European and global policy issues.
